US Geological Survey Releases National Land-Cover Map

The National Map of Land-Cover Vegetation depicts 583 distinct ecological systems and land use classes (US Geological Survey)

Yesterday, the US Geological Survey released the most extensive and detailed national vegetation and land-cover map yet produced, encompassing 551 distinct ecological systems and 32 land use classes. The map “allows for the construction of a seamless representation of ecological system distributions across the continental United States.”
