The Autobiography of Mark Twain

Last month marked the centenary of the death of Mark Twain (Samuel L. Clemens). In death, he left instructions that his “extensive, outspoken and revelatory” autobiography not be published until a full century had passed.

Although numerous “autobiographies” have been published during the intervening years, November will mark the publication of the first of three volumes, collectively containing half a million words, of the complete, authentic, authorized Autobiography of Mark Twain.
