Saturn’s Moon Mimas

Mimas -- Herschel Crater (NASA -- Cassini)

Just a little over a month ago, the Cassini spacecraft orbiting Saturn passed within 10,000 kilometers of the small moon Mimas and captured this amazing image of the enormous Herschel crater. The object which generated this immense impact crater was nearly large enough to completely destroy the moon.
