Book Talk: Next Monday

Next Monday’s book discussion (7 pm, Monday March 29) hurdles over August Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play Fences. There are still a few copies available at the front desk for those who wish to explore this important work of America’s most influential contemporary African American playwright.

From one vantage point Fences is the story of embittered ex-con Troy Maxson’s clash with his son over an athletic scholarship. But there is, of course, so much more . . .

Come join us next Monday night for a discussion of August Wilson’s Fences, sponsored by the Kansas Humanities Council, and led by discussion leader Janet Juhnke.
