Pyramids of Giza at Sunset (Smithsonian)

Library Director Betty Cattrell will be vacationing in Egypt over the next two weeks, so it is only appropriate that we note this item from BBC News. Contrary to the popular notion that the Egyptian pyramids were built with masses of slave labor, the BBC reports, there is evidence that, instead, they were constructed using “free” laborers. See what you think.
