The corvids — a group including crows, magpies, jackdaws, rooks, ravens and jays – have long been reputed among the cleverest of birds. A recent BBC News feature on the tool-using behavior of rooks is a fascinating example. In “Clever Rooks Repeat Ancient Fable”, a series of three short videos and supporting text, the point is amply illustrated.
